PIERRE LAMBERT
I got my first dog, Nikkie (Brittany Spaniel), in 1996, and quickly discovered how fascinating it was to work as a team with my dog. Nikkie (1996-2001) was supposed to be just a house pet, but she quickly became much more than that: before the age of five, she had earned a conformation and an obedience championship. I discovered a new passion in obedience, which I cultivated with my two other Brittany Spaniels, Deejay (1999-2012) and Roxie (2001-2016). In addition to training my dogs, I became an instructor for Loisirs Canins, and I obtained my obedience judge's license from the Canadian Kennel Club in 2006. I then started training and competing in agility, first with Roxie, then with Sydney (2011-2022), my very first Australian Shepherd. I obtained my agility judge's license from the Agility Association of Canada in 2016. Today, I still train and judge in obedience, rallye and agility, and I have two Australian Shepherds, Ryder, born in 2017, and Shadow, the baby, born in 2024. My passion for dogs is also a family affair: my wife, Cécile, trained Heidi, a beautiful Golden Retriever, in obedience and agility; my eldest daughter, Karine, trained her three Papillons in obedience, rally and agility; my youngest daughter, Marie-Josée, earned her PCD, RA and CGN titles with her Yorkshire terrier Kyara; and my first granddaughter, Florence, recently started training her poodle Muscade in agility and has already participated in a few competitions as a young handler. Dogs are a real passion in our family!
