DAWNE DEELEY

I began my journey in dog shows and show dogs back in 1990/1991, which honestly feels like yesterday.  Although I began with Bull Terriers and Karelian Bear Dogs my interest in Nordic spitz varieties and 'Bull' terriers of all types have shaped my life in the conformation ring, and Dogs carrying the 'TsarShadow' prefix have won hundreds of Best in Show awards, and set many records.  

Perhaps the two best known are the Carelian Bear Dog MCh. TsarShadow's I Speak Of War, who was Canada's #2 dog of All-Breeds in 2012 and RBIS at the 2013 European Championships, and the Norwegian Buhund, BIS AmChG/BIS Can Ch. TsarShadow's Ragar Lodbrok, who at this time is the only one of his breed to have taken BIS awards on both sides of the border.  

Additionally, I am a member of The Kennel Club (U.K.) Morris & Essex, and Life Member of both the CKC and Finland's Suomen Pystykorvajarjestö (Finnish Spitz Club), the current President of the American Staffordshire Club of Canada, and Vice President of the Swedish Vallhund Club of Canada.  

I have presented and developed seminars on many breeds, and together with Patricia Cummins (Sancha Perm Reg'd) have been instrumental in bringing the Yakutian Laika to the attention of Canadian fanciers, with the breed recently having been granted CKC recognition. 

My judging assignments have taken me across Canada, to the United States, Serbia and France. I love every minute of this, and truly believe every single dog can teach you something.  With this in mind I am very much looking forward to judging at SD&G, and wish everyone the very best of luck.
