CHELSEA DU JARDIN
My name is Chelsea Du Jardin, and I am a shareholder and co-owner of GUIDES CANINS inc., located in Saint-Lazare, Quebec. I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA), RQIEC and Fear Free Certified, with a strong passion for canine behavior and performance. I specialize in a wide variety of disciplines, including scent detection, traction sports (canicross, bikejoring, skijoring), agility at all levels, tracking, obedience (from puppy classes to competitive levels and rally), behavior modification using BAT (Behavior Adjustment Training), parkour, mental stimulation, trick training, smoke detection, and dock diving.
Beyond training, I am heavily involved in the dog sport community as a judge and certified instructor for numerous organizations.
I am a CDDA frisbee judge, a Dog Parkour International certified instructor and judge, and hold multiple certifications with Do More With Your Dog (DMWYD) as a trick dog, stunt dog, and fitness trainer and judge, along with a certified CGN judge as well as a NADD dock diving judge. The one that I use the most or am perhaps the most proud of is the fact that I am also a certified scent detection trainer (NACSW), and a licensed judge with the SDDA, CKC.
At GUIDES CANINS inc., I serve as the event and competition planner for all major dog sports held at our facility, including scent detection, traction sports, sprinter, dock diving agility etc.
My mission is to help dogs and their humans thrive through positive training, fun, and community-driven sporting experiences. I absolutely love to compete with both of my girls, my Eurohound Knox and my Dalmatian Liv, but I also love to judge and watch awesome teams compete, so I am absolutely honored to be judging at this event once again this year.
