ANN YUHASZ

I’m a second generation judge following my mother who was a sporting judge. Between her, me and my daughter, we have over 65 years of breeding, showing and raising English Setters under the Hemlock Lane prefix. We have produced significant sires and dams that go back many years. Prior to starting my judging career I was fortunate to import two Flat Coated Retriever bitches from the famous Shargleam kennel who became my foundation here. I have also had pointers, english cockers, and norfolk terriers and my daughter now raises border terriers as well as the setters. Her daughter is also involved and was a junior handler as was she. Although I didn’t get involved with show dogs until I was out of college and married I originally showed horses. I have been judging since 1988 and count Westminster, The AKC National Show and many National Specialties as highlights in my career. I have had numerous foreign assignments in Canada, England, Sweden, Austria, China, Australia and South Korea. I am licensed to judge Sporting, Terrier and Herding plus Juniors and Poodles. I am affiliated with several all-breed and Specialty clubs where I have served in many capacities. I am currently the delegate for Western Reserve KC. My husband and I split our time between Ohio and South Florida and are owned by one very spoiled Norfolk terrier. I am so honored to be asked to return to Canada in 2026!
