ALEX ROJAS SANCHEZ

Born in México City. Architect. / Lenguage Teacher.

Allrounder International Judge recognized by the Mexican Kennel Club (F.C.M.) and the Federation Cynologique Internationale.

I started in dog shows as amateur since 1992, competing formally since 1999.

When I was a child I had dogs like samoyed, schnauzer and a few not purebred ones, but thanks to my love for sight hounds I bought my first show dog: an Afghan hound, I showed him and finished some offspring as national champions.
In 2007 I decided to get a Saluki, showed him and getting several national and international titles. Deciding to begin the breeding of this distinguished breed.

I worked as ring steward for more than 10 years, this allowed me to participate in the World Dog Shows hold in Mexico in 1999 and 2007, Champion of champion's tournaments, world specialty shows (IFR-Rottweiler and ATIMANA-Mastino Napolitano); I also attended seminars for judges (taught in the Mexican Kennel Club) and other several seminars for specific breeds, thanks to the invitations from specialized clubs.

In 2003 I did my application and started exams for judging.

In 2005, I started judging some breeds and then a few groups occasionally in some shows along my country.

In 2007 I judged the Neapolitan Mastiff National Specialty in Mexico City.
In 2009 I judged Best in Show by first time.

I had judged in Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia, Jamaica, Japan, Korea, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, South Africa and Venezuela.

Since March 2025, I have held the position of Main chief of ring stewards of the Mexican Kennel Club; and occasionally show my salukis.
